It is the New Year & many have made resolutions. Some resolutions include losing weight. Here are some tips to help control that appetite: |

1. Munching on 70 calories of nuts 20
minutes before a meal starts the feeling of being, so you'll eat less at
meal time. Good choices include: 6 walnut halves, 12 almonds, or 20
peanuts. 2. Fill your stomach with chunky, low-calorie, raw veggies that signal your brain that you're full. Studies have found that people who start meals with a large low-cal salad eat 12% fewer calories during the meal than those who skip the bowl of leafy greens, cherry tomatoes, carrots, & peppers. 3. Try to eat leisurely. Take small bites, chew thoroughly, and put utensils down in between bites. Take time to enjoy the whole experience. 4. Stop your meal when you're only 80% full. Wait 20 minutes & you'll feel full. |
