10 Motivating Tips to Stick to a Fitness Routine

1. Pick an exercise you love.

You are more likely to stick with a fitness program if you are having fun! Find sports or other activities you enjoy doing. Then vary the routine, so you don't get bored.

2. Make it part of your lifestyle.

Schedule workouts as you would any other important activity. They should become part of your daily routine. Try slipping in physical activity all day long. Get creative!

3. Set realistic goals.

Do you want to lose weight? Or build muscle mass? Improve your game? Write it down! Start with a simple goal. Then increase it more to the next one & so on.
Want to lose weight?  Omnitrition® has the best weight loss products, including Omni Weight Loss Drops®!
OmniFit Vanilla Shake® helps you lose weight & build body mass.  Works 2 ways!
Omni Sport® helps you get more out of your workout!  Gives me more stamina!

4. Reward yourself.

Enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. Reward yourself when you reach your goal(preferably with a healthy choice), such as getting new sneakers. I bought myself a pair of boots after I lost 90#! Check out my story on Omni4Me.com!

5. Keep yourself accountable.

Write down your goals & share them with your family & friends. Setting your goals will encourage you to work towards them. Your family & friends will motivate you. At Omnitrition® we share & motivate each other.

6. Exercise with a partner or friend.

Exercise is so much easier when you have someone to exercise with. You can keep each other motivated. Talking to each other helps to distract you from the time it takes to finish, like walking on a treadmill. Before you know it you are done.

7. Get your rest.

Part of any exercise plan includes recovery time. Take enough time to rest in between workouts. This will help you to stay on track with your program. Getting your rest helps you with energy, too. That is why I take Nite Lite® for my best night's sleep. Repairs the muscles while you sleep.

8. Concentrate on the positive.

Concentrate on the benefits! Sure working out can be tough, but think about the benefits. Think about how good you will feel & look. I take Omni Sport® before my workout. It helps me to have more stamina.  And Ease Spray® helps with those sore muscles!

9. Surround yourself with positive sounds, music, images, & sensations.

Listen to motivating music while you exercise. Think of "Eye of the Tiger" & others. Post a picture of what you want to achieve.

10. Don't give up!

Think of your fitness goals as a life-long journey. Stick to it for the long term. You will feel better!

Foods That Fight Wrinkles

Include some of these anti-agers in your daily diet:

1.  Carotenoids
The natural pigments in yellow, red, orange, & green produce like carrots, apricots,sweet potatoes, kale, & pumpkin can neutralize skin-damaging free radicals. According to a German study, people with high levels in their skin have fewer wrinkles.
2.  Soy Isoflavones
These phytoestrogens help reduce the breakdown of collagen. Just getting 40mg each day, which is equal to 1 1/2 cups soy milk, 3/4 cup tofu, or 1/2 cup shelled edamame, improved fine wrinkles around women's eyes after 12 weeks, according to a study in Japan.
3.  Polyphenols
One can find polyphenols in apples, grapes, berries, wine, & tea. According to research from the University of Alabama, these types of antioxidants actually stimulate DNA-repair enzymes that help prevent sun damage.

Check out these nutritional supplements!

Shield® is Omnitrition's® innovatively produced antioxidant. What are PhytoNutrients?
Phytonutrients are nutrients derived from plants that have been shown to be necessary for sustaining life. Also called phytochemicals, phytonutrients are natural bioactive compounds found in fruits & vegetables that work together with vitamins, minerals, & fiber to promote good health. These phytochemicals have been found to have properties to aid in disease prevention. 4 of the leading causes of death in the Western countries include: cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, & hypertension. Phytochemicals are associated with the prevention &/or treatment of these diseases. They are involved in preventing cell damage, preventing cancer cell replication, & decreasing cholesterol.
Common Phytonutrients include:

* Carotenoids
* Coumarins
* Flavonoids
* Indoles
* Lignans
* Isoflavones(including Genistein & Daidzen)
* Organosulfurs
* Phytosterols or Phytohormones

Walking for Better Memory

Aerobic exercise works on 2 levels. It is good for your body & great for your mind,
according to the latest research from brain-fitness pioneer, Arthur Kramer. Consider
this: the hippocampus, a region in your brain that is key to your memory, shrinks 1-2%
every year as we age increasing the risk of dementia. However, Kramer's investigation
reveals that the hippocampi of adults grew by 2% over a year simply by walking briskly
45 minutes a day 3 times a week. Thus, staving off age-related shrinking, it is never too
late to start exercising. It doesn't need to be strenuous. Just anything that raises your
heart rate seems to work. Walking is fine or anything you like to do.
I not only like to exercise, but I like to take Remind® from Omnitrition®. This nutritional supplement aides in focus & memory. Omnitrition's Remind is brain food!

10 Foods to Help Prevent Cancer

1. Add garlic to everything you eat.
Garlic contains sulfur compounds that may stimulate the immune system’s natural defenses against cancer, & may have the potential to reduce tumor growth. Studies suggest that garlic can reduce the incidence of stomach cancer by as much as a factor of 12!
2. Eat broccoli, but have it steamed or raw.
Broccoli is a cancer-preventing superfood, one you should eat frequently. However, a Spanish study found that microwaving broccoli destroys 97 % of the vegetable’s cancer-protective flavonoids. So steam it, eat it raw as a snack, or add it to soups & salads.

3. Have some Brazil nuts & put in your salad.
They’re a rich form of selenium, a trace mineral that convinces cancer cells to commit suicide & helps cells repair their DNA. A Harvard study of more than 1,000 men with prostate cancer found those with the highest blood levels of selenium were 48 % less likely to develop advanced disease over 13 years than men with the lowest levels. And a dramatic five-year study conducted at Cornell University & the University of Arizona showed that 200 micrograms of selenium daily , the amount in two unshelled Brazil nuts, resulted in 63 % fewer prostate tumors, 58 % fewer colorectal cancers, 46 % fewer lung malignancies, & 39 % overall decrease in cancer deaths.

4. Have some fresh lemonade or limeade.
A daily dose of citrus fruits may cut the risk of mouth, throat, & stomach cancers by half, Australian researchers found.
5. Add half a cup of blueberries with your cereal.
Blueberries rank number one in terms of their antioxidant power. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, which are unstable compounds that can damage cells & to diseases including cancer.
6. Eat artichokes tonight.
Artichokes are a great source of silymarin, an antioxidant that may help prevent skin cancer. To eat these delicious veggies, peel off the tough outer leaves on the bottom, slice the bottom, & cut off the spiky top. Then boil or steam until tender, about 30-45 minutes. Drain. Dip each leaf in a vinaigrette or garlic mayonnaise, then gently tear the fibrous covering off with your front teeth, working your way inward to the tender heart. Once there, gently scoop the bristles from the middle of the heart, dip in a little butter or lemon juice, & enjoy!
7. Fix some salmon on the grill for dinner.
Australian researchers studying Canadians found those who ate 4 or more servings of fish per week were nearly 1/3 less likely to develop the blood cancers leukemia, myeloma, & non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Other studies show a link between eating fatty fish (salmon, mackerel, halibut, sardines, and tuna, as well as shrimp & scallops) with a reduced risk of endometrial cancer in women. Amazing omega-3s at it again!

8. Have some kiwifruit.
Kiwi is a little hand grenade of cancer-fighting antioxidants, including vitamin C, vitamin E, lutein, & copper. You can also rub a couple of cut kiwifruit on a low-fat cut of meat as a tenderizer.
9. Put some scallions in your salad.
A diet high in onions may reduce the risk of prostate cancer by 50 %. But the effects are strongest when they’re eaten raw or lightly cooked. So try scallions, Vidalia onions, shallots, or chives for a milder taste.

10. Serve sauerkraut.
A Finnish study found that the fermentation process involved in making sauerkraut produces several other cancer-fighting compounds, including ITCs, indoles,& sulforaphane. To reduce the sodium content, rinse canned or jarred sauerkraut before eating.
Omnitrition® & Omni4me have some great nutritional supplements that, also, provide great antioxidants & cancer fighting ingredients!
Shield® is Omnitrition's® innovatively produced antioxidant.  Antioxidants help protect the body from harmful free radicals & toxins, that cause damage to cells, thereby leading to such infections & various degenerative diseases like heart disease & cancer.
