5 Steps to Reversing Diabetes
| A staggering 350 million people around the world have diabetes with the U.S. being among the worst! That means more heart attacks, more strokes, & a shorter life expectancy. The advice is simple, but sometimes hard to follow. Eat right & exercise more. What do the experts suggest? | |||
| 1. Have a salad When you are eating high-carb foods, make sure you eat a salad. Also, best to have dressing with vinegar in it. Consuming 1 1/2 tablespoons of vinegar can lower your blood sugar by as much as 42%. | There are many different kinds of vinegar including: apple cider, distilled white, white & red wine, rice, balsamic, sherry, malt, cane, & coconut. Each comes in different amounts of carbs or sugars. When following the Omni Drops® diet, one must adhere to the correct kinds allowed. Otherwise, you might gain weight or your weight loss might not set properly. Apple cider is one of the best for this diet plan. Must check bottle labels for amount of grams of sugar. You want the lowest amount. Any vinegar made from grapes, such as white & red wine vinegars, are not allowed. Also, rice & balsamic vinegars have too many sugars as well. Using Omni Drops® is a fast easy way to lose weight. | ||
| 2. Cook your pasta right Saute your pasta in extra-virgin olive oil, and throw in some vegetables while you are at it. This method will help keep your blood sugar steady. | |||
| 3. Get up & move Too much sitting makes your blood sugar rise. Try to move at least 30 to 45 minutes a day. | Let OmniTrim Extra Enhancer® help balance your sugars. | ||
| 4. Getting enough sleep If you don't get at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep a night, your risk of developing diabetes, or making it worse(if you already have it), rises by 37 to 88%. Keep your bedroom as dark as possible to sleep longer & better. | Omnitrition's Nite Lite® helps me get my best night's sleep. | ||
| 5. Exchange nuts for potatoes Potatoes make your blood sugar rise & over the years will most likely make you gain weight. Nuts, though may be high in fat, will help you lose pounds. Just eat a handful of nuts instead of chips or fries. Almonds, pistachios, & peanuts have been shown to keep blood sugar even. | Phaso Trim® is Omnitrition's natural carb blocker. It blocks many of the calories from eating carbohydrates. | ||

What Is the New Fruit That Is Great For Bones?
| Have you heard? Guess what is the new fruit that is good for your bones? It seems they serve a benefit that was unrecognized before. Yes, that is right, prunes! They are good for your bones! Unbelievable! But in fact, according to nutrition researcher Bahram H. Arjmandi, RD at Florida State University, midlife women who ate 10 prunes per day for a year slowed their bone loss substantially. If 10 sounds like a lot, then 3 is ok. Arjmandi says even 3 daily prunes can make a difference. Since women can lose up to 20% of bone mass in the 7 years after menopause, he has learned through decades of study that prunes are the most bone-friendly fruit. | |
| I am all for natural fixes, myself. That is why I drink Omnitrition's Thermo Herbal Tea®, which increases bone density. Tastes great, too! It has so many other good qualities including: | |

The Benefits of Vinegar
| Did you know that vinegar has great health benefits? 1.Reduces arthritis pain! Just one teaspoon each of apple cider vinegar and honey in a glass of water is an old folk cure that some people still swear by. 2.Helps diabetes by keeping blood sugar more balanced. As little as 2 tablespoons of vinegar with a meal can stop after-meal sugar spikes and improve insulin sensitivity! According to recent academic studies, vinegar slows the rise of blood sugar levels after you have eaten a meal, & when taken at bedtime lowers morning blood sugar levels. 3.Vinegar can shrink belly fat, too?! A Japanese study reveals that mixing 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a daily drink for 12 weeks significantly lowers abdominal fat! | |
| Vinegar can be made from any fruit, or from any material containing sugar. Vinegar is a fermented and acidic liquid used in a variety of recipes. There are many variations of vinegar, such as white, rice and apple cider. Most types of vinegar are fat-free and low in sodium and calories. Vinegar is also devoid of vitamins but contains minerals such as magnesium and potassium. Vinegar contains carbohydrates and sugar, so consumption should be moderated by those watching their sugar intake. 1. Calories One cup of distilled vinegar contains about 30 calories. Red wine and cider vinegar have approximately 50 calories per cup, while balsamic vinegar contains over 200 calories per cup. 2. Sugar A cup of white vinegar contains approximately 12 grams of sugar. Balsamic vinegar has about 50 grams of sugar per cup. 3. Potassium Most types of vinegar contain a small amount of potassium. A cup of distilled vinegar contains 36 milligrams of potassium. A cup of apple cider vinegar contains 175 milligrams of potassium. 4. Sodium Vinegar has almost no sodium content, which makes it a popular staple in sodium-free diets. A cup of white vinegar contains less than three milligrams of sodium. 5. Magnesium One cup of distilled white vinegar contains about 53 milligrams of magnesium, which is 13 percent of the daily recommended value. | |
| Apple Cider vinegar as well as many other types of vinegar are widely used for their culinary and medicinal benefits. When made with care, most types of vinegar contain a host of healthful antioxidant compounds and nutrients derived from the fruit, grain, or sugar from which they are produced. Each vinegar type has its own taste characteristics which go well with certain kinds of food found in various regions. Herbs, spices and fruits can be infused in the milder ones to produce herbal vinegars or flavored vinegars with greatly enhanced tastes which you can tailor make for your cooking needs. | |

It is Flu Shot Season!
| It is flu season & you see "Get your flu shot" signs everywhere. My experience with getting the flu shot has not been good. I always got sick afterward & I know others who have had the same experience. Since taking Omnitrition® nutritional products, I have not gotten sick. I attribute that to taking Omni4 ® on a regular basis, as well as, taking Immune Defense® whenever I feel I am coming down with a cold or flu. No flu shots for me. I even went to Mexico when they were worried about the flu & didn't get sick. I, also, work in a hospital with all kinds of illnesses. |

Top 5 Popular Apple Varieties in U.S.
Other Common Types of Apples

| Red Delicious is the most popular variety in U.S. Best eaten raw! When cooked, it disintegrates and loses most of its flavor. Season: Year Round | |
| The proverb "An apple a day keeps the doctor away.", addressing the health effects of the fruit, dates from 19th century Wales. Research suggests that apples may reduce the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. Compared to many other fruits and vegetables, apples contain relatively low amounts of vitamin C, but are a rich source of other antioxidant compounds. The fiber content, while less than in most other fruits, helps regulate bowel movements and may thus reduce the risk of colon cancer. They may also help with heart disease, weight loss, and controlling cholesterol. The fiber contained in apples reduces cholesterol by preventing reabsorption, and like most fruits and vegetables, they are bulky for their caloric content. This is why I like apples so much. They helped me to lose a lot of weight while on the Omni Drops® diet, too! | |
